The instruments you can trade, with their mark, index, funding and order rules. Instruments are named by the venue's numeric `instrument_id`; order placement also accepts `symbol` (for example `BTC-USD`) as an alias. Scope `perps.read`.

This route is always available: it never answers `409 PERPS_CAPABILITY_UNAVAILABLE`.

```text theme={null}
GET https://partner-api.bravadotrade.com/v2/trade/perps/instruments
```

### Query Parameters

**symbol** `string`

Only this instrument, by its symbol alias, for example `BTC-USD`.

### Response

Each instrument carries, among its fields, the inputs of the [order rules](https://docs.bravadotrade.com/api/trade/perps.md#limits). Read the values from here rather than hard-coding them, because they can change.

**instrument\_id** `integer`

The venue's instrument id. Every other Perps route names instruments by it.

**symbol** `string`

The alias, for example `BTC-USD`.

**mark\_price** `string | null`

The mark. `price_bounds` is measured from it, and an order without a price is valued at it. `null` when the mark is unavailable.

**price\_decimals** `integer`

Maximum decimal places of `price`.

**quantity\_decimals** `integer`

Maximum decimal places of `quantity`.

**price\_bounds** `string`

A fraction: `|price − mark_price| ≤ mark_price × price_bounds`. `"0.05"` would be 5%.

**min\_notional** `string`

Minimum `quantity × (price, or the mark without one)`. Closes are exempt; see [Close a position](https://docs.bravadotrade.com/api/trade/perps/place-order.md#close-a-position).

**max\_limit\_notional** `string`

Maximum notional of an order with a price.

**max\_market\_notional** `string`

Maximum notional of an order without a price.

### Example

```bash cURL theme={null}
curl -G https://partner-api.bravadotrade.com/v2/trade/perps/instruments \
  -H "X-BRAVADO-TIMESTAMP: <unix-ms>" \
  -H "X-BRAVADO-SIGNATURE: <signature-for-this-request>" \
  -d symbol=BTC-USD
```
